I attended a ANZAC Service at Westminster Abbey yesterday. It was nice sitting inside the building and listening to the Organ and the Abbey's Choir. The Canberra Grammar School Choir also sang during the service. The only downside was that you didn't get to see too much of the service, because of the way they had it set up and I'm not important enough to get a good seat.
The weather has been great since Easter. Ranging from the high teens to the low twenties, with plenty of sunshine and long days. The weather has been so nice. It really makes London a wonderful city. Over the last couple of days it has tried to rain once or twice, but has only succeeded in a few drops.
Last week I attended a five day training course and return to the office this week and haven't stop. I'm really enjoying the increase in workload and I'm starting to get to work on a range of projects. I'm also getting to explore some of the outer areas of London, as I'm attending meetings outside the city centre.
Time for a little vent. Since my last blog I have attended my Passport Interview and they wouldn't accept my application. In short I can't prove that my passport photos are a picture of my, because I haven't known an appropraite British Passport Holder for two years. Like the process in Australia, you need to have someone to sign the picture to stay that it is a true likeness and because I have known any non-family British Passport holders for two years I have to wait. I'm fine in relation to all other aspects. It just seems a little silly, especially now that all first time applicatants have to have an interview. Why can't the interviewee certify the photos.
In general news, things are still all fine with me. Still fit and healthly, with both legs, arms and eyes still intact.
I'm extremely excited about Australia drawing Serbia in the World Group Playoffs for next years Davis Cup, because the tie is going to be in Serbia. Therefore, the plan is to go and watch the tie. I had a great time at the tie in Belgium, so as long as it is in my hands I'll be there to watch Australia in Serbia.
