I've certainly seen some Australian sporting history being made this year. First it was Australia losing their first test at Lords in 70+ years, then it was watching Ricky Ponty become the only Australian captian to have lost two Ashes series in England (when they lost the fifth test at the oval).
This trend continued with the rugby union, where I saw Australia draw with Ireland at Croke Park. The next weekend I saw Australia lose to Scotland by 1 point (the last 20 minutes or so were great - i.e. the atmosphere) for the first time in rugby union since 1983. Maybe I'm a bad luck charm and should just stay away from live games.
