So here I am in sunny Dubai. I've just had my first week and weekend in the city. As you walk around the city you see the odd vacant block and it makes you realise that the city is built in the desert. The vacant block isn't overgrown it's just sand.

So far I haven't had to spend too much time outside, with the exception of Saturday when I went for a bit of a work. It's really quite warm, but I foun that as long as I drank plenty of water, wore sunscreen and a good hat, it wasn't too bad walking around. Other than that I have been fortunate to be able to enjoy a air conditioned hotel, office and car trip to work.

It's not a bad city at all. Sometimes it's easy to forget that you are in an Arab country, particularly when you are walking around the malls.

By the way, I had a great time in Prague and Stockholm. Not sure I like this idea of flying back into London on a Sunday night and then getting back on the plane Monday morning, but all in all it wasn't too bad.

Anyway time to get something to eat.
