Had my first visit to Paris the weekend just gone. I had a mixed time. The city is beautiful. I loved the architectural and the look of the city. After a gray and cold start the sun came out and I got to see Paris at almost it's best. On the downside, the food was a little to refined for my liking. Give me German food anyday.

I climbed the Eifle Tower. You are able to climb up the first two levels, before catching a lift to the very top. The queue for the stairs is a little shorter than the queue to catch the lift all the way. That's one thing that surprised me a bit. Even in winter the queues are quite long - I guess it is one of the most visited cities in the world.

I also found Paris really quite expensive, even coming from London.
