I'm back from my second trip to mainland Europe, but first traveling via the Eurostar. My first experience of the Eurostar was very positive. It will be even better once the new Eurostar Station is open at St Pancreas. The train goes quite slow once it reaches the outskirts of London, as it uses the domestic rail network. Once the new station is open on 14 November 2007, the Eurostar will have a dedicated high speed rail track into central London. This should shorten trips by about 20 mins.

You will all be pleased to know that the beer still tastes as good as it did, when I went to Belgium for the tennis.

I ate Kermit the Frog. I had frog legs for the first time over the weekend. I'm not sure what I make of them. They were done in a garlic butter sauce. I'm not sure if they are naturally greasy or if it was the garlic butter sauce. If I get the chance to try them again, I think I will.

The weather wasn't ideal, it was overcast for pretty much the entire time, but it only rained a little bit and it didn't stop you from doing things. However, reading the free newspaper this morning and talking to people in the office, it sounds like it bucketed down in London. Areas of the south of England, received a months rain in three days. So it looks like I choose a good weekend to get out of London, or be it that Brussels and Brugge was overcast and a little wet.
