Life has been crazy busy at work since getting back from Belgium and it's not likely to let up until the end of March 2007. It was a shame that we lost to Belgium, because if we had won we would be playing Germany in Germany and I could so easily handle another Davis Cup Tennis tie in Europe. It was a fun weekend.
Liege was a pretty cool place. The city is quite small and I don't think they get too many visitors. The people were really friendly, the food a damn site better than England (the bread was especially good) and the beer was amazing. You struggled to find anything weaker than 5.5%. I found a really nice beer that was 11% that was so smooth.
All-in-all I had a great weekend.
On my return to London I sent off my application for British Citizenship. That should take about 2-3 months to be processed. I'm fairly confident that it should be relatively straight forward. It should basically just be a matter of the Home Office making sure that I have ticked the right boxes and dotted the i's and crossed the t's and that I am who I say I am. I'm hoping that because I'm applying on the basis of my mother being born in England that I don't have to sit the Citizen Test. It's a bit like the test that the Government wants to introduce in Australia.
As a result of this if I was you I wouldn't be reading my blog expecting anything too exciting over the next couple of months as the Home Office has my passport and I won't be doing any travelling outside the UK.
Until next time.
